To cultivate the Dao is to stop chasing the world —and let the Dao come forth through you.
Not by trying, but by letting go.

Details

When one enters the Dao, their lives are forever changed. Seeds peace, harmony, and alignment are planted.

The Daoist path is often described as returning (反), not adding. It is a peeling away of artificial conditioning to reveal the true self (真人) — spontaneous, still, and alive.

Through cultivation:

• The mind becomes quiet
• The ego loosens
• The Shen (spirit) becomes clear
• One returns to a state of simplicity (樸)

When you cultivate the Dao, your actions, emotions, and thoughts begin to move in accord with nature, not against it. This brings a deep sense of peace, fluidity, and balance.

While Zoom training is the most convenient the deepest meanings are grasped by an on-site immersive experience. This allows you to bathe in and absorb the teachings without distractions, which creates a more opportune setting for life changing events to take place as you are in a dynamic, focused group environment.

In this retreat we will:

• Learn how to approach an altar
• Learn how to set up an altar
• Practice a prayer to purify an altar (or yourself)
• Practice Qigong
• Recite morning prayers
• Discuss selections from the Dao De Jing
• Discuss Daoist philosophy
• Experience guided and silent meditation sessions
• Subject to weather conditions we may have meditations
   in our 4-mile deep cave.

Align with Natural Harmony (天人合一)

Dao is the underlying order of the cosmos, the silent rhythm of life that moves all things. To cultivate the Dao is to attune yourself to this greater rhythm — not forcing life, but flowing with it.
Man follows the Earth. Earth follows Heaven. Heaven follows the Dao. The Dao follows what is natural.
Dao De Jing, Ch. 25

He exceeded my expectations! His knowledge of the subject and communication skills, especially his sense of humor. I didn’t think the training was going to be this in depth. I now have a much stronger awareness of my energetic body and Qi - a greater understanding of how I can control the flow of Qi.
