2019 will be a year of many changes for us!   The Temple of Peace and Virtue was able to fulfill a long standing dream and purchased 325 secluded acres in rural Bradyville, Tennessee, about an hour southeast of Nashville. It is a beautiful and secluded property that allows for direct contact with all the elemental forces. We are very excited about this transition and the possibilities that it will offer for our students.
We are hoping to move the Medical Qigong training facility to this new property in Tennessee for 2019.

In order to continue our work in Tennessee, the ICMQ must be approved by the Tennessee Higher Education Council. We cannot advertise classes or programs there until the final approval from THEC goes through, possibly in January.

Dr. Shannon WILL be teaching Medical Qigong next year, on the dates listed here.  We are just not sure at which facility.
If you are planning on training with us in 2019, it is highly recommended that you contact our office and let us know so that we can reach out to you as plans are finalized.

So as to help students prepare for transportation costs, we have decided to hold the following classes at the Palm Desert facility:

  • January AMQ Seminar
  • January Daoist training with the Temple of Peace and Virtue
  • February P1 Seminar
  • February T1 Seminar

The location of the March P1 Seminar will be determined by the outcome of our meeting with THEC in January.

  • Dr. Shannon Interviewed on Qi Talks

Dr. Shannon was featured on the NQA's Qi Talks on Thursday, October 13, 2016 to discuss the intricacies of teaching Qigong. You can listen to that interview below. The world of Qigong is simultaneously simple and yet challenging. At its simplest, it is the combination of movement (or lack thereof), breath, and intention to create a desired energetic outcome. At its most complex, it still is the combination of movement (or lack thereof), breath, and intention to create a desired energetic outcome. Read More
  • Master Duan Has Passed

I am saddened to share the news that one of my teachers has passed.

Master Duan Zhi Liang,  renowned for his healing abilities, generosity, and compassion, passed on July 12, 2016 at the age of 107.

I had the fortune of meeting and training with Master Duan in 2001 and the memory is still fresh in my mind. It was a Saturday night in his basement apartment near White Cloud Monastery. On that visit we only had a few hours, but the lessons from that evening are still with me today.
